StreetFair 2026 – Volunteers

The eagerly anticipated StreetFair will return on Saturday 5 September 2026.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join the excitement and support a vibrant community event by becoming a StreetFair volunteer. 

From 10 am to 6 pm, our entertainment areas will burst into life with music, dance, performance, food, a huge street parade and more.

Volunteer roles

This year, we need volunteers to help us in the following roles:

  • Stage assistants – ensure stages run on time, meet arriving groups, supply music to the sound team and report incidents.
  • Parade group leaders – help ensure the parade runs smoothly and on time, and support pedestrian safety.
  • Site runners – assist across roles as needed and move materials around the site, which may be heavy or transported on trolleys.
  • Information stall officer – answer public enquiries, encourage survey participation and act as a first point of contact. Distribute information and Council brochures.
  • StreetFair zone assistants – answer public enquiries and help manage queues for free activities.

We welcome volunteers to sign up for more than one shift. If you're interested in volunteering for the entire day, you are welcome to do so. This is a great opportunity to experience different roles and be fully immersed in StreetFair 2026. Please note that all volunteers must be 15 years of age or older.

Entries will close on 1 August 2026.

Please complete the volunteer application form below and we will be in touch shortly. An induction meeting will be held before the Chatswood StreetFair.
