Applications to be part of the 2024 Chatswood StreetFair parade are currently open.

The Chatswood StreetFair starts off with the parade at 10:30am to 11:30am from Endeavour Street to Neridah Street. Pick the best spots on Anderson Street and Victoria Avenue to catch all the colourful groups, dancers and vehicles passing by. With over 1000 participants, it's a sight not to be missed.

The procession bursts with dynamic colours, striking costumes and entertainment that bring together the diverse Willoughby community. It is a celebration of our strengths through sport, culture, the arts and the environment.

The parade is a great experience for participants and onlookers alike with performances from drummers, dancers, musicians and theatre companies. These groups, as well as sporting and community services groups, use the parade to promote themselves as it weaves its way along Victoria Avenue down to Chatswood Chase.

Information for parade groups

Parade Entry
Council suggests that your group wear traditional costumes or uniforms. Use your existing banner or carry a sign provided by Council to identify your group. A stage MC will introduce each group in the parade throughout the route and groups are encouraged to have music accompanying them. Either live music or playing off a portable speaker that you can bring in yourself.

Parade Route
The parade assembles in Chatswood on Endeavour Street from 9:30am, giving groups opportunity to take photos with each other and get in position. We start at 10.30am sharp and continues until approximately 11:30am. It ends on Bertram Street. A map of the parade route will be sent with the parade information pack containing further details.

Parade Group Leader
Each group is required to provide the contact details of their parade group leader. A group leader briefing may be held in the lead up to the StreetFair to discuss logistics and safety.

Documents to prepare before you fill out the form:

  • Photos for promotion
  • Public Liability Certificate of Currency up to $10M cover. If you don't have public liability, please tick the check box.

If you can not answer some of the questions, please place as much information as you can now and update us when you can.
